One More Reason Not To Use IE

In a recent security advisory from Microsoft, Microsoft is investigating public reports of a VBscript vulnerability that is exposed on windows 2000, XP and 2003 servers.

If you press F1 in Internet Explorer, it could allow for your PC to be taken over by remote attackers. Microsoft stated

The main impact of the vulnerability is remote code execution…Our investigation has shown that the vulnerability cannot be exploited on Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista, or Windows Server 2008.

If you like to stick with Windows, as do I for most business function, I think it is finally time to upgrade, if all of the other problems weren’t reason enough before…
