Success Factors and Outcome

Critical Success Factors
1. The sponsor may not know how to maintain the site once the project has ended, therefore, the sponsor will be shown how to use the site in order to maintain it in the future. We will not be supporting or maintaining the page after it is presented to the sponsor for final inspection. In doing so, the success of creating the site will be ensured.
Comment: Proper training for maintaining the page is essential in the success of the virb page presence. Without the page being maintained and updated, the project will fail.
2. Error corrections may be submitted one week after final approval from the sponsor. We will correct any errors within this one week grace period. Any errors submitted after the first week will not be corrected, and it will be the duty of the sponsor to correct them him/herself.
Comment: Error corrections assure the customer a final and thorough revision of the project before the maintenance is handed over.
3. Upon completion and approval of the profile page, we will invite 50 youth from the area to be a friend of VLYC. It is our hope that these invitees will stay and use the page. In order for it to be successful, it will require attention from the sponsor to make sure content is updated regularly. We will try to bring a small audience to get started with through these invites and the new design; however, it is the sponsor’s duty to maintain those relationships and build the pages number of friends for future growth.
3.1. It is our goal to have 5 accepted invitations from the 50 we send out. If we do not receive 5 accepted invitations, we will invite another 50 until we reach 5 accepted invitations.
Comment: In inviting 50 youth to join the Youth Corps community, we will have initiated a jump start geared towards the community’s success.
Final Outcome
In the end, we delivered a solid product exceeding the expectations that were set from the beginning. A unique, polished web presence was created and the success of the page looks promising with a little bit of dedication to keeping the page updated.
