The Project Has Begun!

A couple of weeks have gone by and we have finally begun selecting projects and forming teams. It was hard to decide what I should put my efforts into. I wanted something that would allow me to use many skills I already have as well as learn new ones and develop stronger leadership skills. I was considering the possibility of helping out Melissa with planning the redesign of the CI website as well as assisting a different group with the development of a Linux server.
Then, Erica and Skyler came to me about the Volunteer Leon project, which consists of developing a solid business plan and designing a Myspace page to be a portal for the main site to draw teens in and keep them updated and interested. After discussing it for a bit, the project looked like a perfect opportunity for us to apply our skills.
Skyler is very design/web oriented so he looks best suited doing that. Erica is a terrific planner, so I figure she can be our emissary and keep relations with Olamide as well as deadlines on tasks. I would like to take part in the development of the business plan, but can assist in both other areas as well. Once we get together and all corroborate our ideas, we will have a better understanding of what can be done.
